This rice cooker is like my best friend in the kitchen over the past two years. I ended up buying this after my family 'heirloom' 20+ year old Tiger rice cooker died and I needed a replacement within my budget. I had low expectations initially because my family members all have either Tiger or Zojirushi rice cookers complete with "fuzzy logic" settings and the whole kit and caboodle (Asian family means serious rice eaters) but this one makes perfect rice with its different settings every time and I have used it to make Jasmine, sushi, and brown rice without fail.
I live alone so it's not too big, not too small and enough room to make dinner for just me plus leftovers for quite a few days or for a get-together with friends. I managed to make due for feeding 4-5 people with this cooker in the past. I also like the option to slow cook or make oatmeal, soup, or cake with its other remaining button features but haven't used it beyond being a small slow cooker, vegetable steamer, or rice maker but I'll update if I end up using the other functions.
Overall I've already recommended this rice cooker already to friends looking for a solid machine that won't break bank and still performs well. It's very sturdy and has even survived a beating being sent across the country from east to west coast when I realized I had forgotten this when I moved and my old roommate was kind enough to mail me this albeit in a not-so-sturdy box. I seriously debated rebuying this exact model when I realized I had forgotten my beloved rice cooker! Definite love for this little guy.
